Gill Golding is a non-executive Director/Trustee - a senior business leader whose experience spans the public, private and third sectors. She is a highly experienced coach and mentor and HR professional.
Currently a governor at a local primary school, previously she was an elected pension fund (£2bn+) Trustee Director for thirteen years. She chaired the Covenant Review Committee and was a member of the investment Committee. She was a Board Member of Tor Homes - a Community Interest Company and a subsidiary of Devon & Cornwall Group (Housing Association) from August 2012 to October 3013. Previously she sat on the Board of the Notting Hill Housing Group and chaired its commercial Home Ownership subsidiary. She has been a non executive Director of an NHS Trust and a participant on 3i's Independent Director programme.
Gill's mentoring assignments include work for: Community Action Network, Age Concern, British Youth Council, Youth Services Development Fund, London First/ Metropolitan Police, the Whitehall & Industry Group, npower, the Prince's Trust and various government funded soacial enterprise initiatives
Since 1997 she has been an independent consultant combining extensive experience of the utilities with her professional HR background. Recent projects include recommendations on governance and Board Membership for a third sector organisation facing major changes in revenue sources. She has top level experience of the transition from regulated to competitive markets and has been both a supplier and a commercial customer of utility services. She has undertaken assignments in Europe, Australia and for clients in the US as well as the UK.
She has been Managing Director of The Utility Buyers' Forum, representing the interests of businesses spending over £1billion per annum on gas, water and electricity.
She is an experienced public speaker and writer for specialist journals.
Gill was educated at Sussex and Brunel Universities. She has an M.A in industrial relations, is a member of the CIPD, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and holds the PMI Trustee Certificate of pensions knowledge .
She sings as she drives and until recently has managed to avoid externally imposed penalty points.
