Since 1997 Gill Golding has been an independent consultant combining extensive experience of the utilities with her professional HR background. She has top level experience of the transition from regulated to competitive markets and has been both a supplier and a commercial customer of utility services. She has undertaken assignments in Europe, Australia and for clients in the US as well as the UK.
Gill has undertaken mentoring assignments with: Community Action Network, London First, the Whitehall & Industry Group, npower and the Prince's Trust. She is an elected pension fund Trustee, sits on the Board of the Notting Hill Housing Group and chairs its Home Ownership subsidiary. She has been a non executive Director of an NHS Trust and a participant on 3i's Independent Director programme.
She has been Managing Director of The Utility Buyers' Forum, representing the interests of businesses spending over £1billion per annum on gas, water and electricity.
She is an experienced public speaker and writer for specialist journals.
Gill was educated at Sussex and Brunel Universities. She has an M.A in industrial relations, is a member of the CIPD, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and holds the PMI Trustee Certificate of pensions knowledge .
She sings as she drives and until recently has managed to avoid externally imposed penalty points.
